BBC One Announces New Episode Of Jonathan Creek

BBC One has announced that a new episode of Jonathan Creek, entitled Daemons’ Roost, is currently in production. The 90 minute special is written by David Renwick and welcomes back Alan Davies (QI) as Jonathan Creek, with Sarah Alexander (The Worst Week Of My Life) as his wife Polly.

According to legend, a 19th century sorcerer named Jacob Surtees would summon the powers of Hell to terrorise and subjugate his victims at his home, Daemons’ Roost.

A hundred and fifty years after his death the house is occupied by veteran horror film director Nathan Clore. With his health now failing he summons his stepdaughter Alison, to share with her the truth of what happened to her family there.

However, just days before her arrival Nathan Clore suffers a debilitating stroke, rendering him paralysed and unable to communicate the very truth that she has come to learn.

After assisting Alison’s husband in the past, Jonathan Creek is called upon to help but as the story unfolds, the gruesome rituals that were once enacted in the dungeon of Daemons’ Roost are frighteningly revived with horrifying consequences.

Joining Alan Davies and Sarah Alexander in Daemons’ Roost are: Warwick Davis (Life’s Too Short), Emun Elliot (The Paradise), Ken Bones (Dr Who), Rosalind March (Calendar Girls), Jason Barnett (Agatha Raisin), and Jo Martin (Still Open All Hours).
