Death In Paradise Heads To London For Series 6

BBC One has announced that two episodes in the new series of hit crime drama Death In Paradise will feature scenes set and filmed in London, and Sally Bretton is set to reprise her role as love interest Martha Lloyd.

Set on the fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie and filmed in Guadeloupe, the eight part sixth series will see DI Goodman (Kris Marshall) and the Honoré Police team head to London for the first time to solve one of the island’s most complex murder cases in a two part special.

Executive producer, Tim Key, says: “We are very excited to be bringing Death In Paradise to London for the very first time. Humphrey has always been a fish out of water in Saint Marie, adjusting to the island’s ways and customs, but for the scenes set in London, the roles are reversed as he is back in his hometown, giving an opportunity to explore the characters that viewers know and love against a new backdrop.”

Series six also marks the return of Sally Bretton as cast regular Martha Lloyd, who appeared in the last episode of series five. Martha will become a prominent part of the new series and, as sparks continue to fly between her and DI Goodman, love could be in the air.

Other talent to feature this series includes: Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted), Douglas Hodge (The Night Manager), Natasha Little (Thirteen), Adrian Rawlins (Dickensian), Monica Dolan (W1A), Ramon Tikaram (Happy Valley), Emily Taaffee (War And Peace), and Gary Beadle (Eastenders).

Death In Paradise series six will air in 2017 on BBC One.
