Filming Begins In Africa For Our Girl Series Three

Filming has begun in Kathmandu and Cape Town on series three of Our Girl, written by Tony Grounds, which sees the return of Michelle Keegan (Ordinary Lies) as Corporal Georgie Lane.

The twelve-part series, which will air later this year on BBC One, will comprise of three separate missions, and begins with a disaster relief mission to Nepal following a devastating earthquake which has had hazardous and unpredictable consequences.

Tony Grounds says: “2 Section is thrown into a perilous and life-changing situation. Michelle Keegan, brilliantly reprising her role as Corporal Georgie Lane, shows remarkable courage in the face of adversity and inspires the troops to perform their duty with bravery and compassion.”

The cast also includes Luke Pasqualino (The Musketeers) as Special Forces Officer Elvis Harte, Ben Aldridge (Lark Rise To Candleford) as Captain James, Rolan Bell (EastEnders) as Kingy, Sean Sagar (Top Boy) as Monk, Simon Lennon (Grantchester) as Brains, Sean Ward (Coronation Street) as Fingers, and Shalom Brune-Franklin (Crossing The Border) as Private Maisie Richards.
