Hidden Welsh Crime Drama Filming In Snowdonia

Filming has begun in Snowdonia for an eight-part crime drama co-produced by S4C and BBC Wales. It will be filmed back-to-back in Welsh and English, and is to be called Craith on S4C and Hidden on BBC One Wales.

Hidden, created by Mark Andrew and Ed Talfan (Hinterland), tells the story of detective DI Cadi John who returns to north Wales to care for her ailing father. However, when the body of a young woman is found in a local river, Cadi’s world – and the world around her – is changed forever.

Gareth Bryn (Hinterland) will direct, and writers on the series include Mark Andrew, Caryl Lewis and Jeff Murphy. The cast features Sian Reese-Williams (35 Diwrnod), Rhodri Meilir (Byw Celwydd), Gwyneth Keyworth (Wasted) and Sion Alun Davies (Endeavour).

S4C Drama Content Commissioner, Gethin Scourfield, said: “With a highly celebrated writing and production team and the dramatic Snowdonia scenery as a backdrop, Hidden / Craith is a series that will set your pulse racing. Combining a star cast and highly celebrated writing and production team, this story will thrill, intrigue and enthral.”
