Hulu Picks Up US Streaming Rights To The Musketeers

Hulu has picked up exclusive US SVOD rights to all three series of BBC One’s The Musketeers. All episodes will be available to stream from this Saturday, May 14th on Hulu.

The Musketeers is set on the streets of seventeenth century Paris, where law and order is more of an idea than a reality. In addition to being King Louis XIII’s personal bodyguards, Athos, Aramis and Porthos stand resolutely for social justice, honour, valour, and love – just for the thrill of it.

D’Artagnan (Luke Pasqualino), a skilled fighter from rural Gascony, finds kindred spirits in the three Musketeers while on a mission to right the wrong of his father’s death. Athos (Tom Burke), who has rejected his noble roots to become a Musketeer, quickly befriends D’Artagnan, but has a mysterious past and often gets into trouble.

Meanwhile, Porthos (Howard Charles) is a larger-than-life character, who has come from humble beginnings to become an elite solider, and Aramis (Santiago Cabrera) has an effortless charm which leads him in and out of love, though is shrewd and ferocious in battle.

The series also stars Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who), Maimie McCoy (Loving Miss Hatto), Tamla Kari (Cuckoo) and Hugo Speer (Bedlam). Rupert Everett (Parade’s End) and Matthew McNulty (Jamaica Inn) join the cast for the third season.
