Jack Reynor Cast In Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams

As filming continues in London for Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams, it has been announced that Jack Reynor (Macbeth) and Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange) will star in the episode Impossible Planet, written and directed by David Farr (The Night Manager).

The series will feature ten episodes inspired by Philip K. Dick’s renowned short stories, adapted and contemporised for global audiences by leading British and American writers. Each episode will be a standalone drama that will serve to illustrate Philip K. Dick’s prophetic vision whilst celebrating the enduring appeal of his work.

In Impossible Planet, two disillusioned and disenchanted space tourism employees take up an elderly woman’s (Geraldine Chaplin) request for a trip back to Earth – the existence of which is a long-debunked myth.

But the lady appears easily confused, and she’s rich – so why not indulge her fantasies? However, as the journey unfolds their scam begins to eat away at them and they ultimately find themselves dealt a bittersweet surprise.

The cast also includes Justin Butcher (Let Me Go), Georgina Campell (Broadchurch), Bekka Bowling (Loaded), Christopher Staines (Wolf Hall), and Malik Ibheis (Silent Witness).

Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams will air later this year on Channel 4 in the UK, and on Amazon in the US.
