Julia Donaldson’s Zog Set For Christmas On BBC One

BBC One has announced that a half hour animated adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s and Axel Scheffler’s Zog is set for BBC One this Christmas. Oscar nominated Max Lang (The Gruffalo) is on board to direct.

Zog is the keenest dragon in school. He’s also the most accident-prone. Luckily, a mysterious little girl always comes by and patches up his bumps and bruises. But will she be able to help him with his toughest test: capturing a princess?

Julia Donaldson is a best selling author of children’s books with over 65 million sold worldwide. Among the most loved are Room on the Broom, The Gruffalo and Stick Man, which are all illustrated by Axel Scheffler,

Zog, first published in 2010 by Alison Green Books, won the Galaxy National Children’s Book of the Year Award and has sold over 1.5 million copies so far.
