New Series From Misfits Creator To Air On E4 And Netflix

Crazy Face, a new six part comedy horror series from Howard Overman, the creator of Misfits, will air on E4 in the UK and Netflix internationally.

When people die most go quietly into the night. But some have unfinished business, and these tormented souls work through their issues whilst possessing the living. Most of the time they walk freely amongst us, unseen by all but a special few.

Amy (Cara Theobold, Downton Abbey) is one of those few. She works in a bowling alley and never really imagined herself battling the legions of hell. Thankfully Amy isn’t alone. Enter Raquel (Susan Wokoma, Chewing Gum). Armed with Wikipedia and a baton she bought on eBay, Raquel’s a self-made demon hunter with a distinct lack of social skills.

An unlikely friendship is born as Amy and Raquel attempt to navigate their way through their early twenties whilst simultaneously beating down demons. What could possibly go wrong?

Crazy Face also stars Riann Steele (In the Flesh) as Amy’s best friend Suzanne; Lewis Reeves (Unforgotten) as her workmate Jake; Arinze Kene (Youngers) as Raquel’s older brother Tyler, with Tony Curran (Sons of Anarchy) as the sinister Callum.

Piers Wenger, Channel 4 Head of Drama says: “Howard has been responsible for defining drama on E4 and with Crazy Face he’s proved himself to be on thrilling, anarchic and utterly rude form.”

Crazy Face begins filming in Bristol this week and will be broadcast in the UK exclusively on E4, with Netflix streaming the series globally following E4’s UK premiere.
