Production Begins On Series 2 Of Unforgotten In June

ITV has announced that production will begin later this month on a second six part series of Unforgotten, starring Nicola Walker (Spooks) and Sanjeev Bhaskar (the Indian Doctor), and written by Chris Lang.

The second series begins with the discovery of a man found in a sealed suitcase in the silt of the River Lea in northeast London. The body is revealed to be David Walker who disappeared in 1990, leaving behind a wife and young son.

As the investigation unfolds, Cassie (Walker) and Sunny (Bhaskar) encounter four seemingly unconnected people who are linked to the victim in some way: lawyer Colin Osborne, paediatric nurse Marion Kelly, school teacher Sara Hamoud and DI Tessa Nixon, the victim’s wife.

Writer and creator, Chris Lang, said: “I am so excited to be making a second season of Unforgotten. Once again we have managed to assemble a jaw dropping cast, alongside a hugely talented production team, and I cannot wait to see the stories I have created, start to come to life on screen.”

The cast will include: Mark Bonnar (Undercover) Rosie Cavaliero (Prey), Lorraine Ashbourne (Jericho), Badria Timimi (EastEnders) Charlie Condou (You, Me and the Apocalypse), Holly Aird (The Promise), Nigel Lindsay (Foyle’s War), Peter Egan (Downton Abbey) and Wendy Craig (Doctors).
