Richard Madden & Holliday Grainger In Electric Dreams

Channel 4 has announced that Richard Madden (Game Of Thrones), Holliday Grainger (Cinderella) and Anneika Rose (Line Of Fire) have been cast in an episode of Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams, entitled The Hood Maker.

The series will feature ten episodes inspired by Philip K. Dick’s renowned short stories, adapted and contemporised for global audiences by leading British and American writers. Each episode will be a standalone drama that will serve to illustrate Philip K. Dick’s prophetic vision whilst celebrating the enduring appeal of his work.

The Hood Maker is set in a world without advanced technology and where mutant telepaths have become humanity’s only mechanism for long distance communication. But their powers have unintended implications and when the public begins to embrace mysterious, telepath-blocking hoods, two detectives with an entangled past are brought in to investigate.

The Hood Maker is written by Matthew Graham (Life on Mars) and directed by Julian Jarrold (Kinky Boots). Richard Madden will play Agent Ross, with Holiday Grainger as Honor and Anneika Rose as Mary.

Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams will air later this year on Channel 4 in the UK, and on Amazon in the US.
