Season 2 Of No Offence Starts Filming This Month

Channel 4 has announced that Paul Abbott‘s darkly comedic drama No Offence starts filming a seven part second series in Manchester this month.

As the new series begins, DI Viv Deering ((Joanna Scanlan) meets her opposite and equal in Nora Attah (Rakie Ayola) who, together with volatile son Manni (Zachary Momoh), runs one of Manchester’s most feared crime families: The Attahs.

Viv is determined to broker peace, but after Nora orders a hit on the leader of a rival gang, Viv uncovers the true reach of the Attahs. As retaliatory firebombs rain down, Viv and her team fight to bring justice to the streets of Manchester.

Series creator, Paul Abbott, says: “No Offence is a joy to come back to. The world seems a much safer place set against the organised chaos of inspector Viv Deering’s world.”

“Series two will build on the celebration of teamwork in the British workplace. Against all odds and underfunding, Deering steers her humble team to high achievements.”

The cast for the forthcoming series includes Joanna Scanlan (DI Viv Deering), Elaine Cassidy (DC Dinah Kowalska), Alexandra Roach (DS Joy Freers), Will Mellor (DC Spike), Paul Ritter (Miller), Ste Johnston (PC Jonah), Saira Choudhry (PC Tegan), and Sarah Solemani (Superintendent Christine Lickberg).

Series two of No Offence is due to air on Channel 4 in Autumn 2016.
