Sky Atlantic’s Tin Star To Return For Second Series

Sky Atlantic has announced a second series of Tin Star ahead of its premiere on Thursday, starring Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks in a darkly comic tale of a man split in two by his past and present.

Written by Rowan Joffe (28 Weeks Later), Tin Star follows British police chief Jim Worth (Tim Roth) and his family as they try to escape their past by starting a new life in the peace and quiet of the Rocky Mountains.

However, the tranquillity is short-lived as the arrival of huge numbers of workers from a new oil refinery leads to a wave of drugs, prostitution and organised crime. Shockingly, this coincides with the horrific murder of one of Jim’s family.

Reigniting behaviour from his dark past, his quest for the truth leads to a personal battle with a long-buried demon that will not just defeat his enemies but threatens to destroy those he loves most.

Head of Drama for Sky, Anne Mensah, said: “When Tin Star launches this week, Sky Atlantic viewers will not only experience a hugely powerful tale of revenge with captivating, uncompromising characters, but will be left in no doubt as to why a second series was an absolute must.”
