Tim Roth And Christina Hendricks Cast In Tin Star

Sky Atlantic has announced that Tim Roth (The Hateful Eight) and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) will star in new drama Tin Star, an epic ten part drama written by Rowan Joffe (28 Weeks Later) about the corruption of innocence, murder, grief and all consuming revenge in the Rocky Mountains.

Tin Star tells the story of Jim Worth, an ex-Metropolitan police detective who has moved with his family to the Rocky Mountains to start a new life as a local police chief in an idyllic rural community. When the town becomes overrun by migrant workers from a massive new oil refinery, there follows a wave of drugs, prostitution and organised crime.

Jim makes a stand, but this unleashes assassins on his family and turns their remote sanctuary into an inescapable prison. Did the oil company fronted by Mrs Bradshaw (Christina Hendricks) hire the assassins to thwart Jim’s investigation? Or is Jim’s violent, alcoholic past as an undercover cop finally catching up with him?

Devastated by the violence towards his family, Jim’s booze and drug addicted alter-ego Jack Devlin emerges. Taunting the police chief’s every waking moment, Devlin, the poisonous voice in Jim’s head, speaks only of violent and bloody revenge, and makes him an even greater threat to his family and the town than the assassins themselves.

Cameron Roach, Commissioning Editor at Sky, said in a press release: “Observing Rowan create this essential and visionary show has been a real privilege; it is no surprise that his highly original scripts and story have secured such an acclaimed cast… Tin Star will be an absolute highlight for the Atlantic viewer in the next year.”
