Mary goes into labour while her husband has left the city to rendezvous with the SAS, who are returning to Aden after a secret mission to capture a dangerous fugitive. When things go badly wrong, Harry must choose between his men and his family. An American reporter ingratiates herself with the troops, to Joe’s annoyance, and Honor joins an exclusive club.

After a series of assassination attempts, the queen is forced to seek sanctuary far from the palace. She and Albert travel to the Scottish Highlands, an area that has always fascinated her, but proves to be far from the romantic retreat she had fantasised about. However, travelling incognito gives both the royal couple and their servants a freedom they do not often experience.

The story of the murderer’s first victim is revealed as another suspect enters the frame, while Gabriel receives some help in his investigation from an unexpected source – but is the situation more complex than it seems? Meanwhile, the team faces up to the fact that a serial killer is on the loose and begins the hunt in earnest and as Gabriel sets his sights on tracking down the first suspect, Elaine makes a difficult decision to revisit her past.

Fletch is forced to come to terms with the realities of his new role as director of nursing, as he is called upon to deliver some bad news. Meanwhile, the arrival of a familiar face means Essie must say goodbye to a significant person in her life, and Donna’s `day from Hell’ only gets worse when she makes a basic error, and spends the rest of her time trying to limit the damage she has caused.

Georgie and 2 Section are sent to Nepal following a devastating earthquake, where she quickly discovers that disaster brings out the worst as well as the best in people. In addition to her duties as a medic, Georgie is tasked with mentoring Maisie, a reckless young recruit, and also meets Milan, an attractive Nepalese engineer, with whom she forms a bond while working together to rebuild the area.


WEDNESDAY 11TH OCTOBER

Morwenna’s parents Jack and Tara pay a surprise visit, having been working as missionaries in Kenya. However, the reunion is tinged with sadness when it turns out that Morwenna’s mother has liver cancer, and has decided against treatment because of her faith. Louisa’s first online call for her new course does not go as planned – especially when Martin tells the lecturer exactly what he thinks – and Joe investigates a break-in at the school where nothing has been stolen.

Will and Stella’s new friendship is starting to get on Michael’s nerves, while love is in the air for Nadine as Ponty Partners hosts its first matchmaking night.

Whitey visits the Worth home with revenge on his mind, but finds himself on the back foot. Meanwhile, Elizabeth confronts Gagnon about his interest in bringing down Jim.

With her professional and personal life finally back on track, Karen meets attractive well-read builder Gareth, and after much deliberation agrees to go on a date with him. Adam and Pete find themselves cornered into holding a joint 50th birthday dinner. However, celebrations quickly unravel as a surprise visitor with an unexpected revelation threatens to cut the evening short – with Pete hearing some home truths.

The truth finally catches up with Connie, as her symptoms begin to manifest, and Ethan realises she is the mystery `heart patient’ she has been quizzing him about. Determined to keep her illness under wraps, Connie blackmails Ethan into performing an urgent surgical procedure on her himself. Meanwhile, the day of Alicia’s driving test arrives, but nerves get the better of her when she accidentally runs over her instructor’s foot during one last lesson.

Christmas comes to Aden, and the RMP receive some welcome news as romance blossoms between Armstrong and Yusra. Markham is concerned that the photographs taken by Martha could cause a scandal, and sends Joe to retrieve them – but he finds himself dangerously attracted to her. Ed confesses to Alison that he knows about her secret as they try to reconnect in the wake of a recent tragedy.

Albert resents Lehzen’s influence over the queen, and fears she is putting the health of their child at risk. The prince also unwittingly creates problems for Peel, who is facing the most important battle of his political career as he takes a stand against the corn laws, only to find that Albert has played into their enemies’ hands. When tragedy strikes, personal and political sacrifices must be made.

A detective pursuing a killer and a games designer both seek solace from the challenges of their life by using a virtual reality device. Each uses the machine to imagine themselves in the other’s world, but end up losing sight of what is real and what is an illusion.


MONDAY 16TH OCTOBER

Following Gabriel’s discovery of a crucial piece of evidence, the hunt is on to track down the killer and with the net tightening, a thrilling chase of twists and turns ensues. As the detective Gabriel begins to piece together the trail of violence leading to the killer, he ends up putting everything he holds dear at risk. The journeys of these two damaged souls – killer and cop – build to a shattering climax that takes the characters back to where it all began.

Terrified of being arrested, Andrew enlists Luke’s help to set up an alibi, but Laura does not give up easily and the final confrontation between the two may have violent consequences. The concluding part of Harry and Jack Williams’ thriller, which followed the lives of teacher Laura Nielson and widowed surgeon Andrew Earlham after they found themselves entangled in a web of deceit and confusion after enjoying a date together.

Fredrik and Sara need to convince Hanssen to give them his professional backing and an impromptu visit from a loved one gives Raf food for thought. Oliver and Matteo go head to head to win over Damon.

A frantic search ensues in the wake of the aftershock when 2-section realise Georgie is missing, while a young local girl previously befriended by Georgie, and a small group of children, are abducted by Da Chand, a fake NGO worker. Military intelligence discovers that he’s part of a terrorist network and there’s a chance he will lead them to the more important target of Aatan Omar, leaving 2-section to track him and to assist a Special Forces Unit led by a familiar and unwelcome face – Elvis.
